In all our work we seek to bring about lasting, systemic change that creates more just and equitable opportunities for all people.
We partner with leaders who are commited to creating more equitable, just, and community-engaged organizations.
We are commited to ensuring that communities historically marginalized in the non-profit sector are substantively engaged and directly influence decisions that effect their communities.

Using a variety of research methods, including interviews, focus groups, document review and industry research, we develop a comprehensive picture of where you are and where you can most effectively concentrate your resources for best results. Our reports include recommendations that are grounded in current reality, and provide a pathway forward.
Ultimately our work is to facilitate you in making well-informed decisions about your most crucial opportunities and risks, grounded in your values, and aligned with your highest aspirations.
The Interim Executive role is structured as a Temporary Employee, with an employment contract between your organization and P Stewart Lanier. Many organizations take advantage of an executive transition period as an opportunity to engage in organizational learning facilitated by an outside party in the executive role for a limited period of time.
The "intentional interim" leadership role provides an opportunity for the board to reflect upon the role of the executive director and consider how it may evolve to better serve the mission and sustainability of your organization.
As Interim Executive we not only keep things moving forward, we also develop an assessment of operations (including finance, fundraising, HR and staffing structure) and help to upgrade those systems that are most crucial.

Having the right lens or tool to guide strategic thinking or collaboration can make a world of difference in creating organizational alignment. We can help by introducing your leadership and staff to the appropriate Organization Development and Change Management models to support shared understanding and generative solutions to your organization's struggles and aspirations. We do this within the context of staff training, strategic planning, board development, staff development and excutive transition.
Dialogue and reflection, embedded within workshops can develop shared focus and alignment of language and aligned action.
“Stewart skillfully leads groups to productive ends, summarizes progress concisely and eloquently, and follows through with commitments. The Milford Best School project ended successfully, not only with an acceptable solution to a complex scheduling problem, but also with tremendous leadership growth shown by individual group members. Stewart possesses a warm personality, is very friendly, easy to approach, and listens to everyone's input. I recommend Stewart to any group that is serious about accomplishing difficult objectives and making substantial progress toward important goals.”
